I voted for Cruz in the primary because his and Trump's plans and agenda are very similar, except that Cruz acts more Presidential.

But after seeing the primary results, it's clear Trump is going to be the nominee, so all I've done is figure why that is and educate myself fully on the guy.

You're barking mostly biased opinion and false conjecture. It's going to come down to Trump and Hillary, period. And I don't care how much we don't know if Trump can be trusted or not, or if he will do right by us and keep his promises he's laid out in his agenda. I can only hope he does. Because if he does, then it's very clear that we will be better off than we are now.

But that said, the one absolute I am certain of, however, is that Hillary will be worse. The Clinton Foundation is a cesspool of criminal corruption. And she is a bona fide lying corrupt piece of trash. She is the definition of an Establishment Politician. And she owes more favors to her cronies, donors, and political establishment than a broke homeless crack whore.

Using his words, and how I and others view them. Seems like you are resorting to just another "best smelling POS" vote as usual in the presidential race, and its a shame thats all we get to choose from. Folks got tired of establishment BS and choose a F'N A hole celebrity with zero experience in politics except as a crony doner as their 3rd choice? You got to admit his rhetoric attracts the lowest common denominator, and has some possible grave dangers involved. In the end, whats worse, WW3 because of a cocky attitude and much of the same, or all of the same? Those are our choices, and I will once again vote 3rd party just so I am not explicit in these crimes on common sense.

"The debate last night was a political dumpster fire. I haven't been that repulsed since I dissected a cow's eyeball in my 10th grade science class. The Republican Party has become a laughingstock.

In fact, I'm at CPAC this year for the first time, and as I walk the convention center I feel like I can detect a certain sort of shell shocked, embarrassed, confused feeling emanating from the crowd. Last night my hotel was filled with drunk CPACers stumbling through the halls. I can only assume they're all trying to drown their sorrows.

I won't offer an analysis or report card of the debate because, at this point, you're either thoroughly disgusted by what the election season has become, or you're insane. There's no sense in telling the folks in the former category what they already know, and there's no sense in trying to tell the folks in the latter category what they're intellectually incapable of understanding.

I will say that in the midst of Trump bragging about his genitals, blatantly lying about everything, and changing his position on a dozen issues, Ted Cruz did manage to have his best performance. And this is a guy with a lot of great performances under his belt.

Rubio performed pretty well also, especially considering he had the flu. Kasich was fine. I don't hate the guy but he's not going to win and his Mr. Positive routine strikes me as phony. Maybe it isn't, but that's just the impression I get. Kasich was also tepid in defending religious liberty, which is unforgivable in my book.

And then there was Trump. We don't have to get into it. I'm sick of the guy. I keep hearing that "plenty of intelligent and decent people support him," but you watch last night's debate and tell me how in God's name that could be possible. I'm sorry, but I just cannot fathom how an "intelligent and decent" person could support this insanity. I just can't. I'm being honest with you here.

A lot will be made of various tidbits and episodes from the debate, but I'm guessing the most significant and outrageous one will be ignored. At one point, the moderator asked Trump about Trump's previous pledge to target and kill the wives and children of terrorist suspects. Trump refused to disavow that pledge, and essentially reaffirmed it. People applauded.

Trump EXPLICITLY said he would force his generals to carry out war crimes against civilians and his fans cheered. This is what I'm talking about. "Intelligent and decent people"? Come on. This is decent? This is intelligent?

If we lived in a good and moral country, it would be headline news that a frontrunning presidential candidate just promised on national TV to assassinate women and children. Every news channel would lead with it, and it would be the end of his campaign. Instead, we're talking about Trump's penis and Rubio's yoga joke (which was funny, I admit).

We are humiliating ourselves as a nation.

The entire world is laughing at us, and we deserve it."
