What's changed??

I think the correct choice is B: Civil Rights. It's amazing how elections can change when African Americans aren't prevented from going to the polls. That's the reason why Atlanta votes heavily Democratic now. And until VERY recently (the past 10 years, especially the last 5), all of the transplants have been moving into the suburbs rather than the city center.

First you said that it's the white Southerners that are the ATL liberals, and now you say that it’s blacks uplifted after civil rights? Make up your mind.

Look. I doubt there are any stats to be found precisely showing how transplanted atlantans vote compared to others, but let’s be real…..

Georgia, historically, is a “conservative” state. Whereas, states in the Midwest, northeast, etc are historically “liberal”. Still with me?

So, given the fact that Atlanta has absorbed large numbers of transplants (we’re talking millions here) from historically liberal states, well then…. It should not be controversial to point out that this migration of liberals factors into the increase of liberal voters in the Atlanta area.
