This script has happened 10+ times this year. Have a horrible stretch, most of the times right at the start of the game. Play much better for the rest of the game and look like a legitimate team. Still a LONG way to go, but a young team can have poor stretches like that and if they can limit those next year they could take a big step forward.

Still concerns with the roster obviously, but this team is better than last year. I do see improvement. Hopefully more next year.

There has been improvement.

It's still pisspoor.

If the roster can remain consistent, I'm mildly interested in next year with Kim. They could win 15 games.

By year 5, we could see postseason.

I'm a homer and wanted to turn off the first half. I was shocked I watched the second. It's actually too bad though as LSU hit big shots towards the end. A little surprising we don't trap/foul with over a minute to play and let them run clock out. Played much better with Isabell on the bench in second half. I think he's gone. Gonna need some ball handling help. I actually think Walton could work on that a bit and contribute next yr. That was one of the impressive things with that team a few years ago in that Dixon, Pressey or Denmon could all bring the ball up and were one in the same. We need some help in that area for sure. I like Phillips, but he gambles a bit too much for me. He needs to play 35 a game and stay in it if he's running the show.

Can't afford to have Isabell leave, but he has got to reign in his play a bit. He can be a good player when he plays under control, but he goes wild man way too often.

Pretty much agree with you and 808. I think there has been some improvement. This team at least hasn't just mailed it in like last year. Isabel does have to go. He's a cancer on and off the court from all I've read. I think Phillips will do nothing but get better. He has the mind set and approach that I think you'll see a big jump for him.

I just don't know where this team gets the scoring from next year. I like Puryear but I think he has to be a complimentary player. Or you at least need some outside threat to free him up next year.

I'd like to see Walton work on his ball handling as well. It's probably just me but he seems so small out there.

I've been holding out hope for Gant and Wright but really expected them to be much further along by the end of year 2. I just don't know that we're going to get much more out of them than what we've seen.

I just have a feeling something is going on with him between the ears to keep getting benched in the second half like this more than once late in the season. I totally agree he's got some talent, but really dislike his style when it it comes to playing D and lack of ball movement type stuff. An example would be him having no desire to feed ROsburg, where everyone else has realized that's our best option as of late.

The defense is worse this year than it was last year.

Offense is a little better though.

Of the guys currently signed for next year 3 are athletically better than what is on the current roster. Barnett, Smith, & Jackson.(I haven't really seen any film on Nikko) If the coaches can land the 2 guys the are pursuing the hardest this spring, the team should be able to at least be athletically competitive.

I still think the defensive rotations have been just flat bad. Athleticism and size don't really fix those, that's coaching.

On a side note it's really tough watching T Bryant @ IU. This team is probably 6-7 wins better with him.

I think both Wright and Gant can still get better. Wright has flashes of being a really good scorer. Not just a shooter, but can also get to the rim. Rebounds very well for a guard as well.

Gant plays good defense and is a legitimate shot blocker. He's not a guy you are going to run an offense through, but he's super athletic and can play off the ball well. Decent little mid range game too. Needs to get stronger.

they have 2 Missouri kids that are freshmen that play. I would love to have OG here.

And would provide that extra bit of hope for next year. This entire line up is different if they landed him. With Phillips, Bryant, Puryear and Walton, I all of a sudden think CVL has a role on the team instead of being asked to play outside of his role.
