Teams 1 and 2 are 1 and 2 because they've won titles.

Teams 3 and 4 are 3 and 4 because they made the title game.

Teams 5-7 made the playoffs.

By rule, if a team did not make the playoffs, they cannot be rated above a team who did in this hypothetical.

Stanford has won a New Year's 6 bowl AND a conference title.

TCU has won a New Year's 6 bowl but not a conference title.

Baylor has won a conference title, but not a New Year's 6 bowl.

Conference Title has higher weight than bowl win in this case.
