Several females from UT started a federal case against UT athletic department saying the athletic department covered up several sexual assaults from the Manning days to as recently as this month. Latest news is that a former football player in a sworn deposition said Butch Jones called him a traitor, and other players beat him up after he tried to help a victim who was allegedly sexually assaulted by other football players.

It looks really bad for UT, but nothing has been decided one way or the other in actual court, but in the court of public opinion UT is already dangling from a high tree branch with a short rope around their neck.

Pretty accurate wrap up.

Somebody's lying in a big way but there's not one thing in the public view to give an accurate idea who.

I'm naturally suspicious of these type of suits because they're very often nothing more than an attempt to force a settlement and grab some cash so I tend to believe UT. If your natural tendency is to believe accusers, then you're going to believe the plaintiffs. Neither position is right or wrong because there's no evidence right now.

The only people wrong are those pronouncing the outcome before the case has even gone through the discovery phase.

The one thing I don't want to see is a sealed settlement that leaves all the questions unanswered. It needs to go through the judicial process and let the chips fall where they may.

You got about half your facts wrong. The former player testified in a grand jury proceeding but that testimony is sealed. His only statement to the press was that he wasn't assaulted and never mentioned being called a traitor. What you are referring to are the claims of the plaintiffs, not testimony from the player.
