If you assume his father (a cop) would have given him advice, why would you think it likely that he told him it's a good idea to perjure himself? Not saying it's impossible, but highly improbable... Would be curious what the motivation would be? I will admit I haven't spent a ton of time following this embarrassing series of events, but given the comments very evasive nature and what I would consider a lack of motivation to lie here, I'm having a hard time buying that this wasn't said, even if it's lacking context.

What are you talking about? When did I say it's likely his father told him to lie under oath. All I'm saying is that just because his father is Law Enforcement does not mean the kid is any more honest than anyone else.

How can you talk about a lack of motivation when you said yourself that you haven't followed it? No one has any idea what the kids motivations are.
