re: 2016 UGA Baseball Thread (27-30, 11-20) // Season Complete

I said we would be awful before the year, and would be lucky to make the SEC tournament, and I guess Im right, although it does suck. I want this program to be like it was with Fields, Beckham, Poythress, and Massaneri, but I dont think we will be as long as Stricklin is the coach. I dont think he is getting the talent to Athens. I honestly dont see much future from this roster. Now that I said that, Im willing to give him one more year with his guys, and see just what we have, but next year is his last.


Can anyone answer this question. What was the name of the black catcher that we had maybe mid 2000s, right before the Beckham era. I loved watching him play.

Edit:Doc Brooks is who I was thinking of. All conference as a junior. 45 career home runs, which was #1 until Beckham came along.
