The internet is one of the best poverty reducing tools we have. So of course we shouldn't help the poor have access. Cuz of their lacking moral fiber.

The vast bureaucracy of aid programs leaves us spending way more tax dollars on social programs than what ever reaches the ground. We've also got an incentive scheme that punishes someone for getting a job (taking more aid than the money the job provides). That needs fixing. That doesn't mean Internet subsides won't also be helpful.
