The Tigers will travel to Lincoln on Sunday in a nice little consolation prize. Nice to restore the rivalry. A surprisingly good match-up despite the bad change in the competition format. Sunday at 2. Pretty sure it should be on the B1G Plus network.
125- #9 Barlow vs #11 Tim Lambert- Great matchup in a potential blood round-type match. Barlow looked pretty good this past weekend, but Lambert is a whole other level. Should be a fun one to watch.
133- #14 Synon vs #9 Montoya- Early in the season, this might have been a good match. But Synon is on a backslide. Montoya is solid, despite his own struggles this year.
141- #5 Manley vs #17 Abidin- Abidin hasn't been performing this year, but definitely has the quality to be an All-American. Manley has been our most consistent wrestler all year, and if he wrestles well, he should be able to win this one.
149- #3 Mayes vs #4 Sueflohn- Brilliant matchup. Two Top 4 guys going to battle here. A win for Mayes would give him some seeding juice. 149 is pretty tough at the top, and Sueflohn is as tough as they come. If they wrestle, this will be really fun to watch.
157- UR Barnes vs #20 Tyler Berger- Really good matchup for Barnes to gain some confidence. He has wrestled really well against some of the top guys in the weight classes, that now he actually has a good matchup. A win would do well for his confidence.
165- #9 Lewis vs #8 Wilson- These matchups are tailor made for each other. Daniel dominated Rohskopf over the weekend, and hopefully he can continue that vs wilson. A solid bump in ranking/seeding will be in store if he can do so.
174- #6 Butler vs #18 Barnes- Another top 20 opponent for Blaise. He has shook off some early struggles and dominated lately, lets hope it continues here.
184- #9 Miklus vs #10 Dudley- Yet another great matchup....if Willie were healthy, which he obviously isn't. Just have to see if another week will help him get back to being the entertaining willie we all know.
197- #2 J'den vs #8 Studebaker- Finally, maybe an opponent who will challenge J'den. J'den hasn't seen much legitimate competition all year. Studebaker is an AA threat, and a good challenge if he actually wrestles.
285- Romero vs Jensen- Jensen is a fringe top 20 guy, no scrub.
If both teams send out their starters, this will be really fun to watch...but I'm not sure they will.
125, 149, 157, 165, and 184 are toss ups on their own. I like us at 141, 174, and 197, and I don't at 285 and 133.

Cody Johnston??? Not listed on the roster???
Never mind...I found him. Quite a weight jump for him.

Yeah I think we were simply trying to limit the points against and the likely pin if Romero wrestled

Sorry for being so late. Work was crazy over the weekend.
Barlow looked REALLY good. Got a couple takedowns and didn't gas like usual. Great work.
Ugly and expected. Montoya controlled the bout. Synon didn't really look like he had any real interest or urgency.
Manley looked really good. Bounced back from a loss last weekend. Abidin is still pretty darn good, and Manley dominated him. Really excited about his postseason prospects.
Pretty boring until OT, where Sueflohn too over and took away Mayes undefeated record. As I feared, Mayes struggled against Sueflohn after not seeing any top competition all season. Hopefully this lights a fire under him.
Barnes took a little step back after being really competitive against Gantt last week. Berger can be good at times, and he looked it on sunday.
Lewis is strait kicking the crud out of everyone right now. He is an absolute hammer. Once he gets better on his feet, he has the makings of a dominant NCAA champ. This years goal should be to AA though.
Blaise is peaking. He looks very good on his feet. He has a gas tank that far surpasses every 174'er he faces. Sure, he is still small for the weight, but so long as the match stays neutral, he can beat most anyone.
Willie isn't completely healed, but he showed alot of heart, getting a TD at the buzzer to grab a 5-4 win. Sure, it was a bit controversial, but i agreed with the call. Another week should get Willie back to himself hopefully.
J'den kicked the living crud out of Studebaker. Took him town at will. J'den has something to prove, and that is the best J'den. Just need to keep from crossing the line.
So apparently Jensen's knee is just fine. Cody Johnston stepping out at heavy might be the most surprising moment of the whole dual. For a guy who was weighing in at 174 for some of the season, that is incredible. It is safe to say he was giving up close to 100 pounds and didn't get pinned. Jensen is legit too. Really curious to see if Johnston gets the nod for the MACs.

I would give the nod to Johnston, not that it should matter.
