OU under Switzer was equivalent to the Pete Carroll USC teams. OU was always among the top two or three teams in the country and was a perennial national championship contender led by a charismatic and very likeable coach.

People today joke about the wishbone but if you've got a quarterback who's willing to play with abandon and sell the keeper every time, its devastating. Bone QBs take a beating though, I wouldn't my kid playing for a wishbone coach.
