You've got your states mixed up.

If you want to pick cotton, you need to go to Texas, Georgia, or maybe Mississippi.

All 3 produce a lot more cotton than Alabama.

2015 Production
Texas: 5.8 million bales
Georgia: 2.3 million
Mississippi: 670,000 bales
Alabama: 545,000 bales

Not even close to being a gem of a state.

But I haven't seen the UA or AU Presidents threatening to cut courses and layoff faculty and closing the doors of the schools in an effort to scare the shite out of our Governor. (i.e. King Alexander in spring 2015)

And I haven't seen Gov. Bentley making threats the very next year saying they may close the universities down....students with no grades, etc. resulting in football players becoming ineligible in 2016.
