Let me guess, this and maybe a WR thread in the next few days will be the only position depth breakdowns...
Anyways, I'll bite.
Kinda hard to know what LSU will look like with the new scheme, but what I expect:
4-3 base/3-4 base
SDE/WDE: Lewis Neal (Sr. Returning starter, was very good for us last year)
DT/NG: Christian Lacatoure (Sr. 3rd year starter, has been consistently solid.)
DT/SDE: Davon Godchaux (Jr. 3rd year starter, has been nothing short of studly since he got to campus)
WDE/OLB: Arden Key (So. Returning starter, has NFL 1st round draft pick written all over him. Crazy fast, tall, long. With a little more bulk, most expect him to be an ELITE pass rusher next year.)
Experienced backups:
Frank Herron - DT
Greg Gilmore - DT
Tashawn Bower - WDE/OLB
Sione Teuhema - WDE/OLB
Guys that are talented, and should play more:
DeAndre Clark - DE
Isiah Washington - DE
Freshman:
Ed Alexander (4*) - DT
Rashard Lawrence (5*) - DT
Glenn Logan (4*) - DT
Andre Anthony (4*) - WDE/OLB
Caleb Roddy (4*) - DE
TLDR; We have a shite ton of talent and experience, and we just brought in the best DL group of freshman in the country to compliment them
TTLDR; LSU stacked, SEC fricked

Go look at the gargantuan dudes Bama brought it and come back and let me know if you still think so.

I don't have to tell you what Bama's DL will look like. You already know.

Really damn good. Probably tied with RB and Special Teams as our best position units.
Derek Barnett/Jonathan Kongbo
Kahlil McKenzie/Danny O'Brien
Shy Tuttle/Kendal Vickers
Corey Vereen/Kyle Phillips/Latroy Lewis
Kongbo, McKenzie, Tuttle, and Phillips all were 5*, not to mention that Barnett has already established himself as one of the elite pass rushers in the SEC.

Yeah because I never read multiple times every year about how Arkansas is going to get over the hump and get to Atlanta.
Please.
Please.

LSU may be stacked on the D-Line. Godchaux & Key are surefire NFL'ers. LaCouture & Neal have a good chance to make a roster. Herron has shown flashes, and Gilbert has the physical tools, but from their total body of work, I'd guess that they have an outside shot at making a living one day. Bower is a mystery because he lost his job to a true freshman, albeit a very good true freshman.
I think Clark & Teheuma are on their way out. Something seems fishy with how they were consistently in the coaches' doghouse last year. Clark looks out of shape, and Teheuma can't seem to make the travel roster.
As usual, all the freshmen come in as highly touted prospects. If even one of the big DT's pans out like Godchaux did his freshman season, LSU will earn the "stacked" label. If they struggle to see the field like LSU's recent crop of DT recruits (Valentine, Leilamatafao), LSU will again be run over in the 4th qtr by physical rushing teams.

It really is mind-blowing. LSU has a fantastic recruiting class, and 'Bamas front 7 still looks far better on paper. LSU can only hope that Saban misfires on a DL recruit or two one of these days.

I still expect 6 in a row for LSU, especially if y'all couldn't win at home in 2014 when we were serious garbage.
Edited to answer the original question. We actually have the most depth on our line in years. Thanks to Beckwith and White not declaring like many of our others did in the past
