If that's how you want them to approach it then you can say bye bye to lots of 5 star QBs
Let's take a look at the last 5 years' worth of 5-star quarterbacks.
2015 (1 for 3)
Blake Barnett - minimal playing time
Josh Rosen - Solid starter for UCLA
Kyler Murray - Not ready for prime time
2014 (0 for 1)
Kyle Allen - Brittle and a fragile ego
2013 (1 for 2)
Max Browne - 143 total yards and 11 total completions in 2 seasons
Christian Hackenberg - Serviceable starter
2012 (1 for 2)
Jameis Winston - Heisman winner, #1 pick
Gunner Kiel - left Notre Dame, average player on an average team
2011 (0 for 2)
Jeff Driskel - failed at Florida, average at La. Tech
Braxton Miller - Was decent, but moved to WR/RB
Out of the 10 5 star QBs between the classes of 2011-2015, only 3 can be considered worth the rating.
Let's then examine those who WEREN'T rated as 5-stars from those classes.
2011: Cody Kessler, Jacoby Brissett, Everett Golson, Cardale Jones, Jacob Coker, Connor Cook, Brett Hundley, Teddy Bridgewater, Johnny Manziel, Marcus Mariota, Dak Prescott
2012: Trevor Knight, Chad Kelly (bad year for QB)
2013: Joshua Dodds, Jeremy Johnson, Jared Goff, Baker Mayfield, J.T. Barrett, Malik Zaire
2014: Brad Kaaya, Patrick Mahomes, Deshaun Watson, Brandon Harris
2015: Jarrett Stidham, Lamar Jackson

He finished in the top 10 in the Heisman voting twice. Was all big ten twice. Was big ten offensive player of the year twice. Won 24 straight games at QB.
He moved positions due to injury.
He was only decent but a guy like Josh Rosen has already panned out? That's fricking retarded.

he threw for almost 2800 yards and 65% completion rating his last year at Cincy. He was solid as a senior. Cincy was very average.

Um, Miller was the Big 10 OPOY in 2012, went 12-0 and would have played for a title had it not be for sanctions, over 2k yards passing and 1300 yards rushing and accounted for 28 total TDs. He also won Big 10 OPOY in 2013.Also accounted for 36 TDs in 2013 and went 12-2. Let's not forget he finished in the Heisman top 5 in 2012.
To call him "decent" is retarded. Miller had an oustanding career at OSU. Anyways.
Your list is not only placing blame on the TAMU Qbs solely, which is outlandish, but it also is just a dumb list because plenty that you listed lived up to 5* hype.
Just because guys like Coker and Manziel were diamonds in the rough doesn't mean you give up on 5* QBs. That is a ridiculous line of thinking.

So Everett Golson is a success story?
eta I hope TAMU continues to go in this trend. The one, and nearly only, thing you all had going for you was QB play. I hope the coaching staff feels the exact way some of you on this board do. frick 5* QBs.![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)
