Yeah, I would, b/c UAB still has athletics and I think the students there have school spirit. But I can see a bit of a distinction there b/c I don't think athletics are as much part of the culture at UAB as they are at all the SEC schools. If you go to school somewhere the culture doesn't put as much emphasis on athletics (or maybe doesn't even have athletic programs), then I can see retaining that original fandom over your new school.
