Whatever makes you sleep at night. He stood in the entrance to block the black students from entering. Don't really care about the coordination. Tell me that the Alabama citizens at the time didn't support that.

Of course they did. That's why 300+ people didn't end up injured and several more dead. Because the leadership at UA, and the state government learned from violent riots at Ole Miss and decided to do whatever it took to make sure it didn't happen in Tuscaloosa. Had there not been riots at Ole Miss, there would have been no Governor Wallace standing in front of the school house door.

At least Bama has won a championship since Wallace tried to stop desegregation.

Given the racist community of Oxford, I like "Ole Mississippi Burning". If someone could fark Hugh Freeze's head on Gene Hackman's and make the movie poster, it would put it over the top.
