Wiki didn't have it for whatever reason, added now

Something about how football championships aren't NCAA championships.

All of the other sports have NCAA-sanctioned tournaments or events to determine champions. Major college football doesn't. The Division 1 FBS champion isn't technically an NCAA champion. However, the Division 1 FCS champion is.

Right, but wikipedia had football listed for most other schools, so I was just quickly scanning and adding the titles listed and for LSU it doesn't for whatever reason.

No, but the NCAA recognizes them. It's part of their literature, even if they themselves don't officially sanction the championship.

Nor will they in the near future, most likely.
