since OL recruiting seems to be going straight to hell. Can someone layout an expected OL depth chart for me please? Do we have a starting line with game experience? where are we thinnest?

Honestly...you can probably say Nate Crawford somewhere....and that is about it.

Just a guess, Tyler Howell and malik Cuellar at tackles. crawford at a guard spot. Kevin Pendelton at another guard spot and Ablen at Center....that is a complete and total guess though. But those are the people coming back who played some last year.

So 2 JUCO G/C's are crucial for 2016?

I don't think anyone could make anymore than a wild arse guess as to what the OL will look like next year.

Crawford and Abeln are the only ones with starts. Pendleton, Cuellar and Adams all played snaps in games when it mattered. So those are your five most experienced guys, and maybe your starters in some combination. You also have highly recruited guys like Bauer, Rhodes, Fairchild and Harris on the roster. Howell the JUCO. Couple 2* kids from small MO towns that have turned out in the past, Owens and Bailey. Castillo and Simms are both big enough to play as FR. In short, no one knows. Probably not even the coaches yet.

However, New HC. New OC and OL coach. So who knows what type of guy they are looking for.

So were not necessarily thin, just very young and inexperienced?

Pretty much

He has a hip issue that hasn't ever healed. Similar to Morgan Steward. Bauer didn't play his senior year in HS or last year....I doubt he ever plays again. Hips are always notoriously difficult to come back from.

Yeah, not thin really. Counting Castillo and Simms that is 14 scholarship OL for next year and only one SR. Looks like they'd like to add at least 1 more.

I haven't heard anything official but I suspect he'll go the route of Steward.

Well, Fairchild has left the team now.

Kind of an odd one, but he's not transfering. Looks like he is just quitting football.

Fairchild is an engineering major. Probably a smart move for his future.

Well, I don't know. He was going to get the last two years paid for and then a year of grad school.

Whatever though. Best of luck to him.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was just processed. Hopefully he has the grades to get some help. Remember, for every recruit that commits from here on out, we have to lose a current body.

Do we have any serious possibilities with a JUCO OL?

We visited the Rhode Island 5th year transfer OT, but I'm not sure about anymore JUCO OL. A little concerned how this class will wind out, hopefully we land the 4* DT that's visiting Wednesday.
