Why are we even talking about this?

If Sanders is the democratic nominee (and he won't be) the republicans will win 45 or so states. It doesn't matter if they nominate Trump or Donald Duck.

Despite what the GOP would have you believe, you can't run as an open socialist and win a national election in 2016. Had Obama run as a socialist, he would have been crushed by McCain.

That word still scares too many people, including many on the left.

Yep. It's exciting for lefties and righties to envision Sanders beating Hillary in the DNC primary, but it's not happening.

Sanders will scare the hell out of the Clintons, but he won't be the DNC nominee. If you disagree you can win four dollars for every one you risk. By all means do it.

The one thing I like about Sanders is that he is not a liar.

The thing I absolutely detest about Obama is that he is a bald faced liar. If his lips are moving he's lying.

Trump or Cruz would shake things up one way or the other, for better or worse ... this country needs a shaking. As my grandpappy used to say, sometimes you gotta make a mess to fix a mess.

Clinton, Rubio ... just more of the same old establishment, corrupt, bullshite.

The bubble is about to burst on the spending, the polarization, the government regulations, the health care system, etc. Until someone returns rights TO THE states and to the people, things are only going to get worse.

None of it is going to affect me. My SS is fully funded. My retirement is safe because I worked hard and saved my whole life and diversified and lived below my means. Hell, if everything collapses I've got enough beans and bullets and freshwater sources and generators and fuel for my family and me to last a long time.

But I seriously worry for my kids and grandkids and all of you. This country is spoiled ... I've lived and worked all over this globe and, by far, this country has become the most spoiled, the most entitled, the most contencious, on this planet. There are other civilizations more savage, far less civilized, but none as insidious as ours has become.

Perhaps we're too free?

In a nation where anything goes .... everything eventually will.
