I can't stand Miami but I hope Richt does well there. I'm all sorts of torn up about it.

Does anyone truly think that Richt won't succeed at Miami? I personally think they will be back to a top 10 team with in couple of years. They could be very scary again.

I don't know anyone who thinks he won't.
The only people who woudl think that are people who only define "succeeding" as winning a national title. The man AVERAGED winning 10 games a year over 15 years in the SEC...do people really think he can't win at least 9/10 a year in the friggin ACC? In that division, where their stiffest current competition is UNC?
Yeah, I think he'll do plenty fine down there.

If Richt can get Miami going again, it'll be to the detriment of UF & FSU....Go 'Canes!

If he gets fan support and support from the university maybe. The Miami program is a bit of a sad joke right now. I guess getting Richt was the first big step though. Hope he's successful but UM really seems to have fallen behind in the arms race.

Homie can coach and knows how to win. Change of scenery, his ability to recruit Florida as well as playing in the acc will result in wins. Wins = fans.

Nope. Still awesome though.

They (Miami) got the best coach they could have possibly hoped for maybe the best coaching hire of the year related to what condition they have with their program. They also only have around 15 current commits so to be ranked that high with the top 250 players is pretty impressive. He seems to be the right man for the job. IMO
