So much crap to talk about, but I don't think this is the right board for it.
Careful don't say to much or they'll enhance it to terroristic threat.
It's true violent crime is up and it's been a long time since this has occurred. I think the current administration is partially to blame but there are other factors involved.

No doubt.
But that is not necessarily a trend.
Last year the violent crime rate was lower than it had been in twenty years.
This is the link from the FBI that shows the numbers
FBI Crime Table 1995-2014

Yes, there are other factors involved, mostly I think we have people that would like to live in a world where they never get dirty, bloody, sweaty, sunburned, smelly, greasy, scarred up,or anything else that comes along with being a Free Human Being.
If you are the type of person, that just files that away with life, you are dangerous to them.
If you get cut and just tape yourself, then put on some super glue, you are dangerous, if you try to take care of yourself, instead of calling the cops, you are an outlaw, even though you know, the cops will never fix anything.. they just want a way to fine somebody for something. So they want to be informed.

Well, if you listen to the current administration it's up because of our 2nd Amendment.
In truth, it's up because of drugs, more drugs in the street than ever before. It's up because the ghettos and slums have gotten worse, not better, over the years. It's worse because most of it is happening in the inner cities where it's tough to pull out of that environment ... and much easier to turn to a life of crime evidently, for whatever reasons ... survival I guess, I dunno. Could be the glorification of the drug culture by the media and hollywood, who knows.
It's up because Cops are gun-shy right now.
It's up because the justice department is no longer prosecuting lower level felony crime.
It's up because it has become acceptable, because it's become the norm, in eight short years. There is no longer any pressure being applied to slow it down ... it's just been let-go-of.
It's up because our POTUS has made excuses for it and blamed it on everyone except where the blame should be placed.
It's up because we continue to allow a bad element to migrate into this country.
And one thing we know about violent crime. Left unchecked, it will spread.
