Everyone has speech ticks, you do too. You just haven't realized what they are yet.
Mine is that I will get hung up on a phrase, and wear it out. Such as "in the same vein".
I know an old lady who says "Well anyway" to start half the sentences that come out of her mouth.

I know a guy whose version of "uh" is "it um".
