In any of the powerball threads I've said I'd give about 90% of it away. I get massive downvotes or called a liar every time.

Because that sounds ludicrous. Ofcourse you wouldn't give 90% of it away. That's just easy to say and even easier to talk yourself out of and I'm sure you would give a bunch of it away, but 90%?
Say you were one of the winners. You have around 328 million coming at you but you only plan to keep 32.8 million? You're going to be at a 2way seeing 32.8 million "oh that's alot of money" then your going to look the other way and see how much you could have. It's impossible to know how even ourselves would respond to that situation. Financially that's not smart either because if you have that much money you have the means to double that money then you can consistently give even more away. Think about what you could build and put together. I know giving it all away sounds like the right thing to do but you got to think what's better. Keeping just enough to live easy, or building on a blessing that is going to take care of your Kids Kids and their Children's Children. If you play it right thats like eternal wealth for your last name and any connecting tree.

So yeah I would have to agree with your opposition. You would be insane to give 90% away.

If I won the lottery, you'd suddenly see nothing but 5* signed at SC.

My goal would be to set up trusts that continue to fund. Specially scholarship funds. I just want to make sure I don't have access to spend it.

I come from very small means. If I gave 100k to my kids after college it would be 100k more than the nothing my parents gave me after HS. Or even paying for a penny of their school.

That's just not what I want.

I'd rather be remembered for what I did for my community and world than how much money I had and left to my kids.

I could buy a 2-300k house, get my wife a 1 year old vehicle of her choice, set up something for the kids to to school, retire on a few mil and be happy.

I mean, to show some sincerity, I pay $800 for a mortgage, have 2 paid off cars that are 10 years old, and buy all my clothes at marshalls, TJ max, or target. I make well above anything my parents ever did, or I expected to.

Premium stuff just isn't what I do. A yeti cup is my idea of splurging.
