Dude, you obviously haven't been to half the places you are acting as an authority on.

Myrtle Beach is the ghetto of beach towns, it's one of the least desirable places in the Northern Hemisphere.

Upstate SC is nice, Rock Hill, Fort Mill outside of Charlotte. Greenville is a great and growing small city. Charelston, Isle of Palms, etc...
