If you want your team to be like Saban's teams, do this.

Have your football program supervisor direct a detailed study on Saban's coaching methods and copy them.
It's a "Copy-cat league" and always has been. Coach Saban copied from Coach Perles, so, I'm sure he wouldn't mind.

Cheat?

Cheating is risky. Look at SMU.

Well, nobody seems interested in learning how to be like Saban, so, ya'lls' programs have no reason to be angry. You just aren't willing to do what it takes to win it all consistently. That's fine. I understand. It's a difficult path. If it were easy, everybody would do it.

Saban just outworks the others, its just that simple.

I'll see your "43-17" and raise you a National Championship.

That's really true. Many of the other SEC head football coaches are comfy, fat and have no reason to work so hard because they are getting rich by doing what they're doing now, so, why knock yourself out?
If it were easy to consistently be the best, everybody would be doing it.

We had Meyer who works as hard. If Spurrier did he would have won many titles. His game day coaching was as good as any in Cfb history. He was just too relaxed

If it was truly as easy as "hmm, saban is successful, all I have to do to be successful is just do what he does", don't you think everyone in America would have done it already?

When Spurrier was at Florida, I'll bet he worked his arse off. His methods would be worth a close study and worth it to copy some.

Study how to brow beat & terrorize student workers in the athletic dept? His reign of terror while here at LSU is still talked about. He made one 18 yr old freshman, her first day on the job, break down in tears all because she told him "good morning, Coach" when she passed him in the hall. Seems he has a rule about not being disturbed while walking in the building as it interrupts his planning of the process.

Spurrier has always been laid back. He is just a genius. He never liked the recruiting aspect of cfb

Oh, I am well over his leaving. I was simply responding to the OP's comment that seemed to make Saban appear God like.

in 5 years at Mich State, 5 years at LSU, and now 9 years at Bama, has Saban's program every been investigated for recruiting violations?
(I know all about the textbook scandal in 2007. that predated Saban at Bama and it was under Saban's watch that it was - like other issues over the years - found by Bama and self-reported).

You mean like he did also when he was at Miami and that player collapsed on the field and he walked right over him? Doesn't Bama have like 50 people working in their recruiting department all due to a rule or something that they stretch to the borderline? I could be wrong but I thought I heard something a long time back to that effect.
I am not going to go to the cheat thing because lets face it they all cheat. It's knowing what and what not you can get away with.

The truth is none of us know anything about cheating until the NCAA tells us about it. This stuff is all close hold.
Today, everybody's phone is a hidden camera, so, cheating's probably very difficult.

Did you read the whole thread? If you did you'd see that your question has already been answered. I won't help you any further than that.

Well, then, you are happy to be rid of Coach Saban. I'm glad that you are glad. Good luck in 2016. You'll need it.
