Do you guys think Lane is ready to be a HC again? I actually thought he was going to build a powerhouse at UT. He had a very good staff and boom, just blew it up and left for the West Coast.

I think Lane wants to build his resume and likes the Bama gig because he learns a lot from Saban and so far he's been able to add 2 SEC titles and 2 playoff appearances to the resume. There's always the possibility that he might be able to take over if Saban leaves. But he can also stay out a year and wait for a good opening if that happens.
When Miami opened I thought it would be Richt or Lane taking that job. With Miami filled, I think the next big job is going to be FSU (I don't think Lane will take an SEC job, like when Sumlin and Gus get fired).
With Jimbo's divorce and such, I'm just guessing he may want a fresh start in a new location. Could be NFL or another school. Either way, Kiff may be the man if Fisher leaves. That will make the state of Florida rather exciting with Richt, Mac, and Kiff.

Lane reminds me of Tom Hanks in Big. its like he has a grown man's body but every time he opens his mouth it's like they are interviewing a 10 year old. I bet that bitch sleeps with coeds in a car bed.
