Alabama /Clemson feeling like Alabama/Miami except...

…we are the Miami. I remember everyone saying we didm;t have a chance. All of the media people picked Miami and laughed at Alabama and then we beat the shite out of them. This is going to be a hard fought ballgame. I think Clemson will try to go ahead fast much like A&M did that year with Johnny football and we couldn't climb out of the hole we found ourselves in. This game will be interesting.

Well in Bama / Miami, Bama had a better team. People just didn't realize it because Miami occupied all the hype from start to finish that year.

Clemson might be good, but I'm not sold. They struggled against some teams that didn't even make it to bowl games and almost got beaten by South Carolina, who was without a doubt the worst team in the SEC this year.

I think the Alabama-Notre Dame game is a much better comparison. Absolutely no one was giving Notre Dame a chance. They were the largest underdogs in the history of the championship game. And there were a number of Alabama fans who were concerned such talk would bleed over and make Notre Dame super hyped for that game.
And Notre Dame was very hyped up for that game. They just didn't stand a chance against the onslaught Alabama had planned for them. While that 55-19 blowout win by USC over Oklahoma was by a greater margin, I don't think I've seen a team in the BCS title game look so completely outmatched from the word 'go' quite like that Notre Dame team was against Alabama.

How is that a better comparison, we beat the shite out of Notre Dame. Miami was highly favored to beat Alabama in 1992 and Alabama beat the shite out of them. People are acting like Alabama is going to walk all over Clemson and believe me it is pissing them off and they are a good football team. Dabo's team at Clemson this year reminds me of that Alabama team that everyone wrote off as too weak to beat Miami. Remember this, Dabo was on that 1992 NC team at Alabama and you can bet your arse he has talked to his team about it.
