Its about the here and now. Most teams have experienced periods of success. I for one don't care who won what 50 years ago. Ole miss is a program on the rise. Bama (football) is the standard. LSU is right there just needs a little more to get back to the top. Its good to have more good teams in SEC. No matter the sport. It makes more games worth watching.

Ole Miss athletics has been trapped in the "good ole boy" network syndrome for decades until recently...We've had AD's who sucked at their jobs and only had them because they were part of the group...Warner Alford, Pete Boone.....hell, we hired Houston Nutt and Ed Oregron....that is all that needs to be said...and we've struggled because of it. they lived on the success of the Vaught years for decades while the rest of the SEC was moving forward......Ross Bjork has completely changed the mindset and appears to have us headed in the right direction......but, yeah, we have sucked for a generation because of the "good ole boy" network
