I just read an article where CTR confirmed there was a mutiny on the team and that it led to some coaches leaving rather than staying to coach the bowl game and pick up bonus checks for doing the same. He would not go into any details on the mutiny.
That being said way to go dawgs! On to a new start and a new day!

this should be interesting when the story comes out in full
it's always fun to read about grown men that make hundreds of thousands 9or millions) of dollars having temper tantrums
we can be sure that when an article does come out, we'll hear about "hardships" placed on families...
zero sympathy - I will save my concern for the kids of soldiers that make tens of thousands of dollars and risk their lives
coaches? cry me a river you whiney bitches

Sounds like there really was some fire within the smoke about an incident with Pruitt. If Rocker has used the term, mutiny, accurately, then apparently Rocker feels that someone was inciting a mutiny against Coach Richt, and that someone might have been Pruitt.

Also Schotty leaving and not having a job to go to,but passing on the bonus...I was also surprised to see the term mutiny used but seems as though some here had good information and CMR down played it as he tended to do.
He could be referring to everyone jumping ship, and leaving without "finishing the drill" who knows? I think there was offense and defense tension coupled with all of the CMR quotes on Schotty being a great coach type shite.

Yea but since Rocker didn't clarify/name names, we can only conjecture. Schottenheimer knew he wasn't being retained and apparently decided that his time would be better spent looking for another job. You would think that since he didn't have another job offer an opportunity to coach in a bowl game plus a bonus would be a net positive for his resume. Or maybe someone within our admin let him know in no uncertain terms that he wasn't wanted? Who knows?

I think he didn't want to be there without CMR to cover his arse or maybe CBM said see ya later ole buddy. Who knows?

Money has nothing to do with it. People who make a whole lot more have tantrums and people who have a whole lot less.
Look at most of your rock stars, actors and CEO's of companies, and most pitch temper tantrums.....and usually about little things.

CJP went over th CMR's house and "discussed" the fact that CMR had, in CJP's opinion, quit on his players. At the end of '14 McGarity had given CMR a threshold that he most attain in order to keep his job. It was obvious to CMR that he would not be successful in reaching those goals and so the coaching dissention began.
We have the right guy in place now.

Those of us who truly want to see UGA football to reach the top, will likely owe Pruitt a huge thanks one day.
Richt had his priorities out of wack for the level of income he was receiving. Fine if you have a normal job but not for an sec football coach making millions.

Agree and I also think Grantham saw it and was unable to do anything about it.
Bobo just left and didn't say or do anything.

Wow. That's interesting. What was the threshold?

To not get beat like a red-headed stepchild in games that matter. He failed miserably.

Cumulative negatives:
1. No SECC in the last 10 years.
2. Getting beat badly 2 years in a row by a mediocre Florida team with no offense.
3. And in general, a poor record vs ranked teams.
4. Losing record vs SC over the last 6 years (2nd half of CMR's tenure at UGA).

Don't know the specifics but pretty sure he didn't reach it.

So it was McGarrity all the way. Pruitt had nothing to do with it. Go McG!

Money has a lot to do with their ability to throw tantrums - people with it can afford to lose a job or two. People without, can't.
