Both administrations at the time were/are far leftist socialist liberal progressives

Clinton:

Welfare reform
Defense of Marriage Act
Balanced budget with surpluses
Trade deals like NAFTA and GATT, which greatly benefitted large corporations
Religious Freedom Restoration Act (the basis for the recent Hobby Lobby decision by SCOTUS)
Average deficit spending 0.1% of GDP (8.4% under Obama)

From The American Conservative:

Clinton’s record on government spending and deficits isn’t just better from a conservative perspective than Obama’s. It is superior to George W. Bush’s. The Republican-controlled Congress deserves some of the credit (though their fiscal discipline started to wane as early as 1998). But while Clinton was president, congressional Republicans were trying to cut spending and balance the budget. When Bush took over, they voted for deficits and government growth.

Even the Republicans were better under Clinton.

His reapportionment plan in Arkansas as governor was found by SCOTUS to be a "systematic and deliberate attempt to reduce black political opportunity" in violation of the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

This is what passes for a "far leftist socialist liberal progressive"? Anyone calling Bill Clinton a radical or an extremist is far more of one than he ever was.

I'd take someone with Clinton's beliefs(the 1990s blue dog version anyway) in office over Scrooster's a million times out of a million and I'll only vote Republican or not vote at all.

While I super don't like Clinton or what he and his wife are today, his presidency was pretty right of middle at worst.

He had a congress that did stuff, despite their differences. Newt actually could negotiate and work through things unlike the spineless dickfaces a that just say bad things about Obama but don't do anything about it or offer other solutions.
