Across his body/against his momentum, whatever you want to call it, it's the same negative effect. Who cares if your receiver is wide open if your QB can't make an off balance throw.

No its not. Rolling a qb out and throwing on the run is something all teams do,while throwing against the grain is one of the biggest no no's a qb can do.
