Gladys was moved to a long-term care facility last week. More than 25 family members joined her at Specialty Hospital Jacksonville to watch the Heisman Trophy ceremony.
Hospital staff moved the watch party to the facility's rehabilitation gym to accommodate the large party. Five generations of Gladys Henry's family were represented, including great-great grandchildren.
"Having all of our family here for this is so special," Gladys Jones said. "A part of [Derrick] is here with us."
