Oh, and she only played like half of the game.
Oh, and that's the best start in Mizzou WBB history I think I read.

Think the men's BBall team could learn something from the women's schedule.
This has been an easy schedule for them this year. They have responded by killing most of the teams they play.

I'd venture a guess that there schedule has been nearly the same as the mens. Wofford sucks this year.
Maryland Eastern Shore???? Doesn't get much easier than that.
Xavier I'll give.
KState and Northwestern??? Very mediocre. No different than the women playing Wake or St. Mary's.
Arkansas State??? 2 wins so far.
I'll call Northern Illinois and Northeastern a push.
The biggest difference in the schedules is that the women's team is making the shite teams look like what they are while the men's team is just winning, most of the time.

Interesting that 19 wins last year was her best season at Mizzou. She won 13, 13, 16, 17, & 19 games in her first through fifth seasons. Now in year 6 she seems to have things figured out.
Would we be willing to give KA that long to turn Mizzou around? I think not, as there are already people here wanting him fired.

I don't think most would want him fired after 1 year if he won 13 games his first season instead of 8.
Haven't looked it up but what was the women's team like the 5 years before she got there? I'm gonna bet there weren't any 30 win seasons and maybe not even any tournament appearances. I honestly don't know

No they had been bad for a few years, though not as bad as Pingetons first coule please of years. Haith left because he knew he would have been fired after last year. He did the same thing when leaving Miami.
I like the freshman class for Mizzou. I think in a couple of years they will be the foundation for a Mizzou team capable of making some postseason noise.
Oh and Pingeton is capitalizing on some incredible local talent. Not sure KA will be able to reel the locals in.

That's exactly why non-rev coaches can languish for a long time with crappy records...people don't know/care. For all practical purposes, Women's BB is non-rev. Just attend a game sometime and see the interest. Last time I went there were a reported 800 in attendance. Parents, friends of the players were there...not many "fans."
All but the most die hard sports fans would not recognize the names Marc Burns or Greg Rhodenbaugh, much less know what their W/L record is.
As a team, our track squad hasn't done much for decades. Anyone screaming to replace Halter?
Unfortunately, the same lack of "visibility" and expectation applies to WBB.

3,800 was the announced attendance yesterday. The goal is to get around 5,000 in SEC play.

Yes, interest has picked up nicely. That's great to see. A lot has to do with the CoMo/in-state connections she's developed. Robin took over a team in shambles and has slowly improved the level of play/players. But she didn't have the "we have to take it to the next level" demands that Kimbo is already facing in his second year. Many are calling on KA for NIT in year 3, Big show by year 4.

I will be adding to that once conference play begins. My grand mother is an avid basketball fan and loves watching the women play.
I have never been a fan of women's basketball. Even in high school, I remember napping through the girls game before heading to the locker room.
Should be a nice change of pace...

My high school didn't even have girls basketball.
