Derrick Henry's Pro Career

Has nothing to do with whether or not he deserves the heisman. I wish all the mini-Mel Kiper's would stop bringing up his pro prospects like it makes what he's done any less impressive. The heisman is a COLLEGE trophy.

A little better than Trent Richardson...

Henry is going to be a great pro.

He gonna be bad. Fat Eddie Lacy bad.

Career 657 for 2834 and 22 TD
Including 127 for 517 and 2 TD this season.
4.3 YPC Career. 4.1 this season.
But yeah, he is terrible.

I dunno but rest assured that a thread will be made for every bad game he has

Both have problems along the LOS and it will hurt Henry in the pros. The key for him will be to go to a team that can create holes to get him to the second level. He gets stopped too easily at the LOS and pro defenders are faster than college defenders.

Yeldon is probably going to have the best pro career of any recent Alabama running back, IMO.
So versatile and I love his running style.
Ingram has been a very, very solid pro, as well. Doesn't get enough credit in New Orleans sometimes.
Lacy just gets out of shape too much and pisses off coaches/management in Green Bay. He's a very good player, though.
I think Henry will be somewhere around Lacy.

Trying to predict which RB is going to be a stud in the NFL is like trying to predict the weather for next March.
People say this and that about how Henry is going to do in the NFL, but if you look at the top 10 leading rushers in the NFL right now, half of them are guys you probably didn't even know existed when they were in college.

Henry leads the nation in yards after contact, and yet he somehow gets stopped too easily behind the line.
(it fits the narrative just go with it. Keenan-Mayfield McWatson for Heisman)

How many carries does he have where he gets less than 2 yards. In the Pro's that equals negative yardage.

He still looks like a piranha. Da frick is with bama players and high-tailingit hair lines?

This drives me nuts about Lacy. Dude has access to some of the best nutritionists and S&C coaches on the planet and still can't keep his weight under control. He's an enormous talent that seems to be held down by laziness.

Not a great example. Lacy has done better in the NFL than his career at Bama would have suggested.

This is Lacy's only mediocre year though. His rookie year was amazing, considering the fact that GB had to rely on him so much due to the fact that Rogers was injured most of the year. Lacy will be fine, just doesn't need to miss curfew and piss off McCarthy.
