Did Muschamp Troll Auburn?

Muschamp was offered the DC title at USCe last year with the stipulations of becoming the HC. Now all signs point to him becoming the HC. He chose Auburn for $1.6 million or so and gave hopes of a better defense to compliment the offense. Auburn's defense looked better, but statistically was worse. Now Auburn is in a bad position and left holding the bag. Seems like he trolled them to me.

He didn't have a job and had a chance to coach in the SEC as a DC and got paid a lot of money. Now he is getting a HC gig, why wouldn't he take it? What's the problem with that?

Let's face it. Many of us have seen it for years. Desperation and apparent deep pockets are strange bedfellows. For years they have thrown money in an attempt to be competitive. Among coaching circles it is a laughing fest to see who can take them for the most. Muschamp was the highest paid "hired gun" assistant who they could get. preseason hype had them killing everyone and taking it to NCG. He went in, and probably never unpacked his bags, but went directly to the bank and cashed that check. He convinced the Barners they were all fambly as he spent their money and pumped sunshine in their arses, and now it is sweet to see them squirm and try to polish this turd they have created.

I'm sure Muschamp has his reasons why he'd go to Carolina.
