The OL has been bad 2 years in a row. That's the offensive coordinator.

You can't honestly believe this. BJ Anderson was a fraud who ruined our OL and lived off Sherman's players for his entire tenure at A&M. He should've been signing 3-4 OL every year, but he didn't. That's why we will have mostly freshmen and sophomores starting next year. On top of that, he was a worthless evaluator and even more worthless coach. Are you going to blame Spav for this?

Enter Dave Christensen. Our OL did not improve AT ALL throughout the year, and quite possibly regressed. Now, I'm not an OL expert, but the people who are coaches and former players all say that our OL technique is terrible. Furthermore, we would line up with wide splits that gave away 1) whether we were running or passing, and 2) if we were running, where the hole was supposed to be. That's not on your OC, that's on your OL coach. Have you even watched Keaton Sutherland this year? There were so many times when he had no idea who to block, as if he hadn't even been coached to recognize who to block. There were numerous times when we had 2 or 3 linemen blocking the same guy. That's coaching.

Now, Christensen liked to pull linemen, and we consistently pulled linemen and consistently failed. I don't know if trying it over and over and failing is on Christensen or Spav. But the stuff above is ALL on BJ and Christensen. Spav had nothing to do with terrible recruiting, terrible evaluations, terrible coaching, and terrible technique.

Are we sure we're going to have mostly freshmen and sophomores and not crappy upperclassmen for the sole reason that they are upperclassmen? Because that was a Sherman problem as well (starting worse players who were more senior)

Last year, we started 4 upperclassmen:

RS-Senior LT
RS-Senior LG
Junior C
RS-Junior RG
RS-Sophomore RT

This year, we started 4 upperclassmen:

RS-Junior LT
Freshman LG
Senior C
RS-Senior RG
RS-Junior RT

Got WORSE starting the same number of upperclassmen.
