Well, if Matt Rhule beats Houston this coming weekend and wins the AAC...he and Gary Pinkel would pretty much be neck and neck as far as candidates go.
Pinkel did very well at Mizzou. Rhule could do just as well or better.

GP, he was an assistant on championship team. Also had about a 10 year run as a HC. With a few 10 win seasons. When the season was 11 games. And at a time with less parity.
