I am not here to troll. Well... I'll troll if its Kentucky basketball.

I really did think Kentucky was about to turn the corner and with the East in chaos have a solid shot at making it to Atlanta.

Instead we have another middle to late season collapse from the Wildcats.

I am not trolling Belle, Mike, and the other Kentucky football fans who have weathered these storms when I say this... its unacceptable.

No, Kentucky football probably will never match Kentucky basketball, but the pieces are there to be a very solid program.

Kentucky is not a bad recruiting ground and there are some solid football states next door to hit as well. A well coached Kentucky team can absolutely win the East if the pieces fall into place and, if the comets align that particular season, even make some noise on the national scene.

He has done yeoman's work but I don't think Stoops is the guy to lead Kentucky to the promised land in football.

We have to remember that Mark Stoops is as green a coach as his young team are players. There's no heat to his seat and won't be for a few more seasons.

We were very patient with Rich Brooks and that led to some good seasons and a revival of our football program. Mitch Barnhart should never have let Joker Phillips succeed Brooks but that's in the past now.

We could have had Petrino but he proved to be a disaster for the Arkansas program. It's better that he's at Louisville. He and Pitino might destroy that school. Not that I'm wishing that or anything.
