We made the tournament and our record has gotten better every season under Johnny Jones. We were right about where we needed to be. It's cute that an idiot like you is trying to be condescending but the fact that we lost two games in a season opener tournament while we were missing two of our key players isn't a big deal at all. Why don't you give me your take on it?

I actually wasn't being condescending at all. I wanted an opinion from an LSU fan. I'm not sure if it was you but I was discussing Jones with LSU fan and we both came to the same conclusion. Time will tell if Jones is a good coach.

But to answer your question, I don't think Jones is or ever will be a good coach. I think he's average to above average at best with the ability to recruit with the best of them. If he can get even solid depth we'll have a pretty good team and I feel like the NCAA tournament is such a crapshoot (see Kentucky last year) that it's hard to say how far he'd make it with an ideal team

ETA: our future teams worry me and excite me for the same reason: Jones lets his guys have a LOT of freedom and throw it around the floor and score on fast breaks etc. a lot and I think that leads to us getting a lot of momentum and shitting on teams in some games and it leads to turnovers and completely losing the momentum and blowing it at the end of some games. I personally don't mind it though, I know some people would probably prefer a different type of coach though
