Mississippi State: The Big Picture

Dear State,
Some perspective..
I can't list all 100 teams individually because I post on this board as a hobby when I have time but power-5 teams who you have historically won less than include:
The entire SEC
The entire PAC 12
The entire ACC except for Wake Forest (and it's close)
The entire Big 12 except for Iowa State and Kansas State
The entire Big 10 except for Indiana and Northwestern

Your program is literally not even on that coveted Vanderbilt/Duke/Purdue level. At least other power-5 teams who suck at football are bringing their conference up in other sports but you can't even do that. You are of no benefit to any league.
Please remember that when you try to call someone/anyone else a "little brother." You have one of the worst programs in the power-5 and should probably just be thankful that Daddy hasn't abandoned you.

There is no big brother / little brother in the state of Mississippi. MSU and Ole Miss are both garbage programs.

Ole Miss leads 13-12 the last 25 years? Pretty crazy how back and forth this rivalry has been. Not a lot of long spurts for either team either.

Southern Miss has always had a great program. It's why we stopped playing them. State only started playing them again because they've had a few historically awful seasons. Ole Miss doesn't really need to play them as we don't fight them for recruits like State does.

I'm not sure why that's so funny considering we're currently in the top 10 and your 15 3*'s have you barely in the top 40.

If you are basing your argument on states history against power 5 teams for the entirety of history then yes, there is no denying their resume is awful.. However, if you look at the program in recent relevance, there is no denying they are a far better program then most of the teams you have posted. Since Mullen's arrival in 2009 State is 54-34 with a bowl appearance every year other than his first. I, personally, think Mullen is a cocky gas bag, but even the biggest state haters cannot deny the success he has brought to the school and they way he has turned that program around....
To be completely honest, other than Ole Miss' wins vs Bama the past 2 years, state has been much more relevant and had more to boast about in recent years than ole miss.
Also, state wins the golden egg at home this year 34-28

As long as you guys have Freeze at the helm I don't care how many "stars" you have on your team.. DO you realize how embarrassing Ole Miss has looked since signing that "dream team" class? I mean it really is phenomenal what Hugh Freeze has failed to do with all those guys.
ETA: you guys have failed to finish above State with a top 10 recruiting class loaded with stars. Are you fricking kidding me?

Doesn't matter how much talent you pull, Freeze will always blow 3-5 games a year. The right reverend schtick doesn't work every week. That's why he beats Bama and loses to Memphis and Bert.
