The 2004 Tigers would have destroyed USC. Remember how we manhandled a 10-2 UGA team and beat and 10-3 UT team twice?
Auburn 2004 > Auburn 2010 > Auburn 2013 and would have acquitted themselves well against the '85 Bears. Of those three Auburn teams, I think my favorite was 2013.
On the subject of the 2004 team and championship, I was driving through B'ham and listening to sports talk radio the morning after the NCAA announced USC. One of the jocks said he wanted to see the championship awarded to Auburn so Auburn and Alabama would win a Natty in the same sport in the same year!
