Also not true.
Toby Gerhart in 2009: 1,736 yards and scored 26 TDs
Mark Ingram in 2009: 1,542 yards and 18 TDs

Caliber of competition and how you play in big games (Ingram had 100+ yards and 3 TDs in SEC Championship) matters a great deal.

Ingram led in the most important category in YPC

This is exactly why. You get a pass on the losses if you play on teams that have lower expectations year in and year out and it is easier to look impressive in losses as a QB than it is as a RB.
