Miles gets better overall players too other than QB... He pretty much owns a very fertile recruiting area... I think overall, he does less with even more...

I would imagine our starters are comparable at any given time but he certainly seems to get more high level talent than we do. It seems like they can sub in an out and not have a dropoff.

2005: 11-2, home loss to an average UT team. Got shellacked by UGA in the title game. Beat miami in the peach bowl.

2006: 11-2 with losses to auburn and florida. Won sugar bowl convincingly.

2007: 12-2 with losses to an average UK team and a bad arkansas team. Hung on to win the SEC against an average UT team, and played for (and won) the natty despite near miraculous odds. Despite 2 bad losses (including the last game of the regular season) and going into championship weekend 7th, they had #1 lose to an atrocious unranked team and #2 lose as well. They jumped from 7 to 2 overnight and was undoubtedly the luckiest team to win a title in the BCS era.

2008: 8-5 with blowout losses to UF, UGA, and ole miss, with additional losses to alabama and arkansas. Won the peach bowl.

2009: 9-4 with losses to UF, bama, and ole miss regular season and a citrus bowl loss to penn state

2010: 11-2 with losses to auburn and arkansas. won the cotton bowl

2011: Excellent, dominant regular season and SEC champs that lost the national title game.

2012: 10-3 with losses to UF and bama regular season and a peach bowl loss to clemson.

2013: 10-3 with losses to UGA, ole miss, and bama. Keep in mind that's 3 losses with a 3,000 yard passer, 1,000 yard rusher, and two 1,000 yard receivers.

2014: 8-5 with losses to MSU, auburn, alabama, arkansas, and nd in the MCB

2015: currently 8-2 with losses to bama and arkansas

If les miles didn't have the luckiest national title in over 20 years him and richt would actually have extremely similar resumes. The only reason Miles is considered suuuuuuch a better coach than richt is because of the title, and because of his gambler personality. Fake field goals, 4th down tries, etc.
