I stand by the fact that debord must be fired, and we must hire a real OC

Does anyone have an answer as to why our WR screen game is the easiest play to stop in the country?
It's supposed to be an easy gain yet our WRs are constantly getting dropped for losses, I don't get it.

We telegraph the living shite out of it. Meanwhile, we ran for 230 yards, if you're gonna just throw WR screens all day, might as well just fricking run the ball every play.

I'd say they use the screens to try to keep the defense honest. Make the D [pay attention to it so they don't load up everyone inside or on the edges.
We clearly had a speed advantage on the edge with Kamara and Hurd turning the corner. My guess is the screens kept the DB off.
All that said, we seemed like we were in slow motion, sleepwalking. We've all seen this in the past under Fulmer and even Majors.
We had Peyton Fricking Manning and had to squeak out wins at home over Vandy amd Memphis.
Its frustrating as hell though and I hope we can regain focus for the next 2 games. VU and Mizzou have legit defenses.
One last note from the game. Our field is shite, pure shite. My grandparents farm has pastures that look more respectable than that. Our guys couldn't make cuts without falling down.

1. There's almost no way he fires Debord
2. Not that I'm a huge fan of his but the guy has been an OC for many years, I fail to see how he isn't a "real offensive cordinator"
3. I'm 80% sure we are going to lose to Mizzou, this staff is shite. It's totally evident, butch/staff may win 8-10 games this year/next year but that's his ceiling. It won't be pretty the next couple of years while our fanbase tears itself apart having Fulmer-esque arguments about whether we are satisfied with 8-9 win seasons while our mediocre staff is carried by talent, God willing they will at least continue to recruit lights out
4. If you doubt this just compare our team's performance against the "top tier sec teams" we wish to be a part of, Bama/LSU/FL, they don't have games like we had last week for the most part. They don't allow USCe to hang around. Maybe we still are short on depth but that certainly won't be an excuse next year so we ll see what happens
I know this will seem overreactionary to many but I've seen enough for me to be pretty sure of this opinion, hope I'm wrong. Hope with all my being that I'm wrong

His best offense was ranked 26th. Average rank of 42. With the talent those Michigan teams had, that's pretty damn pathetic.

real offensive coordinators don't try to convert dual threat QBs into pocket QBs

Both of those points are fair, I just really don't think they are gonna fire him. The rest of my post is more important anyways

I don't either. Wouldn't matter since it's Butch's offense anyways.

they need to pull Bobby Campbell out of retirement. Guy kept the field in pristine condition.
