UGA is 4th in college with the most active players in the NFL. Depending on which site you use, the NCAA or the NFL, it has Miami, LSU, USC and Bama ahead or tied with them. Guess what? Those teams has won the title in the BCS era. Florida, FLorida St and Oklahoma are ranked behind us and they have won one too. No other coach has underachieved with the talent that UGA has. Richt always gets a pass whereas the AD or the other coaches usually get the blame. Now it is the IDF is needed for us to win (how much would it help vs Bama this year?), the AD budget is holding us back, wait till Richt gets a complete set of coordinators and that 5* qb that he needs. Yada Yada Yada.

2012: vs USC, Richt just has his typical flat game in the bright lights. USC was really good that year but we came out flat and was much better than what the score showed.

2007: vs USC, we lost to a 6 loss team and a 4 loss TENN team. Both teams were unranked at the time of the game.

Neither of those years did we win the SEC and 2007 we didn't even win the East. Sure we finished very hot but I don't think Hawaii was a good opponent for us that year to truely see if we were a legit team deserving of the NC. Hawaii was very overrated in a weak conference with lower tier players and we proved it very much so that night. We were supposed to win that game regardless of the rankings.

Now our 2012 was probably our best under Richt here recently but I not calling a timeout was another example of his coaching blunder. I think a confident coach calls a time out right then and gets his players in position and gets the correct played called. Instead we try to catch them off guard with everyone being rushed in position and getting the snap off. No reason to take that timeout with you and not leave it on the field.
