Yea and the bands were so good they'd show them on TV at halftime. I hear some say that bands are just as good today, but I don't see it.

I'd also miss how most great teams were flagship schools. You had your exceptions, but only a few had any sustained, long-term success.

I was dismayed being in the Swamp the past few years and seeing younger Gators spend game time looking at their smart phones. From over hearing some conversations it became clear that these younger Gators were given their seats by their parents. Sad.

Well in the old days folks would listen to the band and television crews would almost always let TV viewers watch as their bands played. Too much soap to sell now and the tail is wagging the dog.

Then go to a game. I've never enjoyed the band, I appreciate it, but that is all.
