I think there is a law somewhere in Alabama against losing to 2 Mississippi schools in one season.

I'm gonna say this about State. I started watching football in the 70's. State one year had Rick Stockstill I believe and were ok. Most of the time, through Emory Bellard who guaranteed the SEC title in 86, to Rocky Felker, To Jackie (who was an issue at times) now to Dan, I never thought I would see state competetive yearly. They have now built a PROGRAM and go bowling every year. Kudos.

I agree 100 percent. Im surprised someone hasn't tried to snatch Dan from them yet. I think he could be lethal at a big program.

Who says they haven't? He has a top 15 salary and is treated as god king of Starkville, getting everything that he wants.

I'm sure they have. Look at what he got in Starkville. It's too easy for him. All he has to is go to a decent bowl and the base is happy. It's slowly changing to become more to winning a championship in the SEC. 2008 and before, only thing the base wanted was to go to a bowl. 6-6 and a bowl was a good season. Now, the base wants to win the west. That there alone says what Mullen has done. He has job security at State. The most important thing is that His wife is happy in Starkville. We all know happy wife = happy life.
