Auburn Red Zone TD Woes

Like many of you I'm sure, I've been frustrated by Auburn's lack of red zone production this season. So I decided to take a look at some stats. The below are red zone TD percentages for several SEC and other successful teams this year. All are ranked in the top 50 in overall red zone offense (which includes FGs).
Auburn - 21/37 (56.8%)
LSU - 22/32 (68.8%)
Kentucky - 16/27 (59.3%)
Miss. State - 27/36 (75.0%)
Michigan - 27/38 (71.1%)
Clemson - 17/30 (56.7%)
Baylor - 35/46 (76.1%)
Oklahoma - 36/53 (67.9%)
Average TD Percentage - 67.2%
So, it's not our imaginations. Auburn, along with Clemson, has one of the worst red zone TD percentages of otherwise successful offensive teams. If we were even at an average pace, we'd be looking at an additional 15 or 16 points on the season, likely enough to win another game or two.
There are obviously other "spread" teams on this list that are successful in the red zone. In Clemson's case, I suspect they make up for their poor percentage with scores on explosive plays started out of the red zone. Auburn has not had as many of those this year compared with years past. Perhaps we should be throwing for the endzone when we reach the 30.

Our redzone offense has been a problem for sure, but our lack of big play TD's has also been a big factor. How many TD's have we had over say 35 yards? If we score, it has usually been long sustained drives, which is very different than years past.
Clemson has a low redzone %, but they've had many more big play TD's to make up for it.

That's part of the problem... we're not scoring on chunk plays like in the past. Only one I can remember is white's TD pass against ole miss.

I wonder what the numbers look like when broken down to SEC games. I think we went 5 of 5 against SJSU, probably throwing average higer than it really is.

IMO running game not being very explosive until Robinson's emergence and I don't know if we're blocking well enough on the perimeter to hit the home run, and when Duke unloaded the shite on his own bed, losing our possession WR are two of the many reasons why.
Louis is not the deep threat Coates was or the manhandler Duke was. I do think getting creative spreading the ball around and using quick slants will potentially open things up though.
