re: Houston 17 @ Auburn 13 Final - ESPN

Yeah, TJ ain't it boys. Yikes!
I am very pro vaccine due to the overwhelming science that it is effective in reducing transmission and death/hospitalization as an outcome, but this thread shows why I am not pro mandate. It just works to force anti-vax folks ever further from getting it voluntarily.

I am also sympathetic to the government overreach argument. It's the same reason it annoys me the drinking age is 21 just to ensure states can get federal dollars.

re: weather station suggestions

I've had a Davis Vantage Vue for years, but the instrument cluster is finally starting to give out. I'm probably gonna move to an Ambient station because you can upload to Weather Underground more easily. Davis is kind of in the stone age for getting info from the base station to the Internet. If you don't care about that, the Vue is a great system.
Think it's probably a bit over priced in the short term. But I also have a model 3 and am hyped about an electric car future. It's been awesome.

Too bad about the Cybertruck looks though. That's gonna be a hard sale to truck owners.
Yeah, Nix has gotta be done. He's gonna cost us soon. Might as well try with Gatewood.

If this is broken, I'm excited about his form after he's fixed.
I agree that 10% is a reasonable number, but there are a lot of variables. More importantly, it should increase your upper bound of salary in the future. You'll cap out a good bit higher if you're stamping a lot of drawings.

Yes, it's very good. Do yourself a favor and read the captions with the audio in German. It's better than the dubbed English track.

re: Smartthings and Google home

I have this setup and find smart switches with dumb bulbs to be the best combo, plus a few hue light strips.

Routines on the Google Home work well to turn on and off things at bedtime and in the morning.

I also have Ecobee thermostats tired into the setup so you could adjust temp by voice as well, though the GH may do this already anyway.

re: Aquaman Is Better Then Black Panther

Not even close. Aquaman is just terrible. Worst movie I've seen in the theater in quite a while.

No known reason or fix

While I sympathize with your situation, there's no way this is true. There is a reason, and likely a fix.

1) Do you have a very old and inefficient A/C unit or units? Is the refrigerant low?
2) Do you have insufficient insulation in the attic or in walls? Attic easier to fix obviously.
3) Are there any trees in your yard? Some strategically placed trees can take a lot of sun off your roof and exterior walls once they get larger.
4) Are you using incandescent bulbs everywhere?
5) Do you have an inefficient water heater that has a really high temp set point?
6) Is your thermostat accurate?
You're going to be very lucky to actually get 1GB at any wireless receiver. The signal is only that good right out of the router.

That said, even 50mbps is plenty for psvue streaming. I'd recommend one of the newer mesh network systems (have Google WiFi myself) as they give you a more consistent experience across the house.

If you really need 1GB, it's tough to beat Ethernet cable.

re: Good win Auburn.

That was ugly. Not sure what has happened to this team. Unlikely to pass the next test if I'm being honest.

Generally speaking (no pun intended) from my time at Auburn I found that the Southern Alabama accent was generally much better than northern. Huntsville, Decatur, Florence, etc. had the more annoying as hell and higher pitch. Montgomery and south especially Mobile generally has closer to the lower pitch like most of south Georgia.

Agree. I grew up in Montgomery and now live in the Huntsville area. The south Alabama accent is a little more pleasing to the ear. North Alabama still great compared to some parts of western North Carolina though.

Two screens is the way to go. I like it a little more than 1 huge screen because you get more resolution.

Also, if you do a lot of portrait document work, I would say to stay way from the ultra wide screen. The old 4:3 or 16:10 aspect ratio is better for that kind of stuff in my opinion.
