For 4 years now I've watched him make stupid calls, whether it's running a 150lb running back up the middle on 4th and short, going for it on 4th down on multiple occasions when it is not necessary, or letting someone other than our qb throw the damn ball, he NEVER admits it was a bad call. It's always we didn't execute or we should have caught the ball, made the block etc... He has saved this program after nutt almost killed it, but he's making $4M a year, it's time to be more than q recruiter.

Nope. He only has one line he's used ad nauseam. "We called the right plays, our players were just out of position and didn't make the play". It makes me sick. If that is the case, then you're not coaching them well enough to line up and make those plays. Take some fricking blame, or at least pin it on your staff and not the kids.

Going for it on 4th down at midfield in a tie game with only 16 seconds left to play.

He's really fricking lucky Bridges blocked that FG or else that's all anyone would be talking about. Instead, they're talking about the Hail Hog Lateral.

Agreed. As much as Tony Bridges has struggled, he saved Freeze from being a joke this morning.

Not for anyone who actually watched that game. That call is still unforgiveable even though he was bailed out.

.....I thought he made the right call. Their defense had barely stopped them the entire 2nd half. 10 more yards and were right on the edge of field goal range with the chance to end the game.

I would have done the exact same thing

The play call on 4th down was a coin flip but not one I would go for considering how poorly our secondary had played against a receiving corps that was composed of a basically nobodies (you do realize that due to suspensions and injuries they were playing 3rd, 4th stringers and WALK -ONs right?).

If we really look at it the failures Saturday were on the Defensive side of the ball. It was apparent that we came out thinking they would pound the rock all day. When Arkansas flipped the script we never made the adjustment. It wasn't until the end of the game that I finally saw us not bite on the PA pass as the TE went to the opposite flat....that is a simple play that should be corrected with a series at most....it's almost like we sat there and said "they are passing all over us but they will eventually change back to pounding the rock so we won't adjust". It was very Les Miles like to say the least...and I would never claim he is any where near an "in game adjustment tactician" type coach.

The 4th down call on the 50 was atrocious. I literally was yelling at the screen what are you doing. There was only 16 seconds left. Just punt the ball and play for OT. You talk about fire birds being out, if we lost that game because of that call I don't think Freeze would have made it. People would be calling for his head.

What does our secondary have to do with our offense picking up the first down and getting us into field goal range?
