I cant for the life of me understand how Florida is ranked lower than Bama for this very reason.
1 loss to the current #2 team in their own poll
beat the #19 but one team is 12 and the other is 4.
Both teams beat Georgia (impressively) and Tennessee.
Then Florida kicked the shite out of the team that beat Alabama.
Just looking at resume how is a win over Wisconsin in game one that much more impressive?

I will also add that Florida lost on the road while Alabama lost at home.

Sounds like people are taking these rankings way too seriously.
I think it's the process more than anything. It seems as flawed as the BCS formula.

Money and ratings are not an issue. This is not ESPN. And resume is all they look at. Any other argument is just stupid. But in my opinion they will rank a CC a lot higher than they should or than my Bama buddies are expecting. Its just one game but we saw what it did to the Big 12 for their 1 loss teams last year. UF, Baylor, and Stanford have a chance to jump us if they win out. OM does not cause they have 2 losses.
If it's about resume then how is Alabama ahead of Iowa despite having a loss with very similar schedules?
Iowa is undefeated (8-0) and scraped by Wisconsin on the road and stomped current #21 Northwestern 41-10. Alabama was beat by Ole Miss at home, stomped current #19 A&M 41-23. Both teams share a win over Wisconsin and both teams have stomped a borderline top-25 team. One has a loss, one doesn't. Unless we're now rewarding losses more than close wins..
But Iowa is ranked #9 and Bama #4. The logical explanation is that it has zero to do with resume (they are nearly identical if not favoring Iowa slightly).. and everything to do with hyping up a big matchup between LSU and Alabama.
We see the same thing in the preseason every year.. two teams squaring off in a season opener. A battle of the top-10, etc. usually one of those teams ends up with a very disappointing season.

It's the win over A&M more than anything else probably. Wisconsin is not a quality win.. they are terrible this season.
